North Downs League finals

The finals of the North Downs league will take place at Kirdford on Sunday the 30th Sept.
It will be competed for by Bordon and Oxshott Novices.
Third place as gone to Racing Club Racers as Vikings can not make a team for the finals.
Best of luck to both teams. Sorry I can not be there as I shall be taking a week in the sun.

European Club K.O.

Well ABC finally got to play our game in the cup. With a much depleted team we came up against much superior players, we manage to hold them in the triples at one game each but in the doubles they where able to match their best against our best. They took all three games. As this was a knockout competition we were then 4 - 1 down and unable to win so we conceded defeat. We played our best but it was not good enough..

Osborne Trophy Results

It was a great days competition, bringing out the skills of our club in a pairs mellee.
The weather was a little overcast and cool at times but ended up with clear skies and around 23 degrees
The were 24 members playing in the competition and these where splilt in to 12 teams for the day.

Winners Chris Marsh and Hazel Lipman with a score of +29.

Second place was Jean Vanstone and Enid Sylvester with a score of +20
Third place went to Carolyn Tuthill and Tony Fox with a score of +13.
Well done to everyone for taking part.

Osborne Trophy

This coming weekend 8th Sept. is the Osborne Trophy competition.

"Osborne Trophy.
This competition is for club members only.
The competition will be played as a doubles melee.
Matches are to 13 points unless otherwise altered by the competition sec.
Matches may be timed if it is required by the competition sec.
An official umpire may be announced at the beginning of the competition, but it is hoped that all problems will be sorted out by the competeing teams.
Games to be to 13 points."
